In a market where most business deals happen on trust alone, we've made verification the core core of Mwisho. No listing goes live until we've checked it. This is how.
1. Documents
We collect at least one form of proof of operation — KRA PIN, single business permit, registration certificate, M Pesa or till statements, bank statements, or handwritten ledgers.
2. Premises
For most listings we do a physical visit or verified video walkthrough of the shop, salon, yard or workshop. We confirm the business is really operating.
3. Numbers
We cross check the seller's revenue and profit claims against whatever records they've provided. If the story doesn't match, the listing doesn't go live.
Informal records count.
Most Kenyan small businesses don't have audited financials — and that's fine. M Pesa till statements, paybill history, handwritten daily takings books and supplier invoices are all valid proof on Mwisho. We meet sellers where they are.

Ready to list?
Sellers pay a KES 15,000 application and listing fee at submission. It covers our verification work — reviewing your documents, confirming the business is really operating, and preparing your listing for qualified buyers. If your business is not approved for listing, the fee is refunded in full. Verification typically takes 5–10 working days once we've received your documents.
